Curtain and Blinds Maintenance Tips

We want to help you prolong the life and appearance of your curtains and blinds so we have provided some hints and tips on curtain and blinds maintenance. If you require any further information please contact our service team at Curtain Wonderland.

Blockout Curtains

Care:

  • Keep your drapes dust-free by regular gentle vacuuming with the appropriate attachment.
  • Refer to the ‘Care Instruction Label’ fixed to the rear of your curtains, before laundering them.
  • Do not handle fabric with dirty hands, as this will soil the fabric.
  • Cold or warm hand wash with wool approved detergent. Do not soak. Do not bleach. Do not wring or rub.
  • Do not tumble dry. Drip dry in shade fabric side down. Do not use pegs or fold over clothes line.
  • For best results re-hang to dry.
  • Avoid wet coated sides touching.
  • Warm iron on fabric side only. Possible shrinkage 4%.

Sheer Curtains

Care:

  • Refer to the ‘Care Instruction Label’ fixed to the rear of your curtains, before laundering them.
  • Warm hand wash.
  • Do not bleach or soak.
  • Do not wring or rub.
  • Drip dry in shade
  • Do not tumble dry. Warm iron.
  • Do not dry clean
  • Possible shrinkage 3%.

Curtain Wonderland only delivers within Australia. Prices include GST. Below are the curtain and blinds delivery rates and guidelines.

Orders between 0 to 500 grams – $10.00
Orders over 500 grams and up to 50kgs – $15.00
Free shipping for all orders over $250!

Delivery Periods

  • Once we have confirmed your payment, delivery on ready-made items will take up to 10 working days to deliver.
  • We endeavour to keep to these delivery periods, however external factors, which are out of our control, can sometimes impact on these time frames.
  • Should your order not arrive in the time frame as quoted above, please contact Curtain Wonderland.

Australia-Wide Curtain and Blinds Delivery

  • Your product will be delivered via courier or Australia Post, depending on your location.
  • To minimise delays, please provide any special delivery instructions along with your information.
  • Courier companies will not call prior to delivery to confirm delivery times. If you are not at the address to collect your product, a calling card will be left. If you agree to have your order left and not signed for, you will be responsible for your product once it has been delivered.
  • If any product is returned to us for any reason, without being delivered, you will be required to cover the cost of new delivery charges before your product is dispatched again.
  • A $50 fee will be charged, plus the original delivery fee, if orders are cancelled after being returned to us by Australia Post or the courier company.

Returns policy

Our Store Policy

Curtain Wonderland takes pride in our customers’ satisfaction and that includes any return of product. That is why we make any product returns as easy as possible.

Faults

  • We accept returns on product where there is any fault (including damaged goods) if we have been notified within two working days of delivery.
  • The product must then be returned and received by us within 10 days after the item is delivered.
  • You will not be charged any postage and/or shipping on these returns.
  • If you would like the problem rectified, Curtain Wonderland will do so immediately upon verification of the particular issue.

Satisfaction Guaranteed

  • If you are not 100% happy with your choice of ready-made product, we will gladly exchange or refund your purchase when returned in its original, like-new condition, with proof of purchase, within 10 days after delivery.
  • You would need to notify us of your decision to return the product within two working days of delivery.
  • You will be responsible for the cost of returning the product to us.
  • Delivery charges would also apply.

24 Month Product Guarantee

  • We proudly guarantee our workmanship on custom-made products for 24 months.

Customised Returns

  • Product that has been ordered to your specifications, or resized, cannot be returned.
  • We are only able to accept returns on orders which are incorrectly manufactured and/or installed by Curtain Wonderland, or are defective.

Customer Altered Product

  • Curtain Wonderland cannot be responsible for product that is altered, either by the customer, or another provider, and as a result is damaged and/or does not fit.

Customer Requested Repairs

  • Any repairs or replacement carried out at the request of the customer and their collection or return may incur charges.
  • On agreement from the customer, these charges will be made to your credit card used in the original purchase.

Order Issues

  • When measuring up for your Curtain Wonderland window treatments it is important you follow the instructions very carefully.
  • We understand measuring mistakes do happen and depending on the type of error, you may return the product for either replacement or repair. We will confirm any additional costs beforehand.
  • Any mistakes made at our end will be rectified as soon as possible and at no extra charge.

Refunds

  • Any refunds will be issued via the same payment method used in the original purchase.
  • Authorisation of refunds only happens once products have been received by Curtain Wonderland and details of the return have been confirmed and authorised by our team

FAQs

How do I measure my windows to get a correct fit?

Window shapes and sizes vary widely, and you must measure each window individually. The safest way to ensure the correct measurement is to remember ‘3 + 3’ – measure each window at three different places, width and length, and measure each window three times. The way you measure for your blinds, and how you install them, depends on the kind of blind you choose. We’re happy to help with your measuring, just talk to one of our consultants for our measuring guidelines.

What if my new blinds don’t fit my window?

If you have measured correctly, your new blinds will fit perfectly. If not, please contact us. We understand measuring mistakes do happen and depending on the type of error, you may return the product for either replacement or repair.

Will my new curtains fit on my existing track?

All our ready-made curtains are designed to fit most hook-based curtain tracks.

How long will it take to receive my order?

You should receive ready-made products within ten days of us receiving your payment. If your order doesn’t arrive within this time, please contact us.

What if my curtains are the wrong colour?

If you are not 100% happy with your choice of ready-made product, we will gladly exchange or refund your purchase when returned in its original, like-new condition, with proof of purchase, within 10 days after delivery. See our Returns Policy for more details.
